22

It has been over 20 weeks since I found out I was pregnant with Nugget and it's even more amazing now than it was then.  :)  Back then, I couldn't fathom it; couldn't feel anything.  But now, I've seen baby and felt baby and have bonded with the little peanut.  It really is love right from the start.

This past weekend, my mom and I did some shopping at the Carter's outlet closest to us.  Well, I should say I did more shopping than she did...we browsed the store together, we found two neutral outfits for her to get, and then she had to leave the store so I could go crazy buying the gender-appropriate items I had seen and loved.  Boy, did that drive her crazy!!  :)  I got a lot of cute stuff and am done buying clothes.  Now it's waiting until after my shower (coming up in a bit over a month!!) and then buying things I didn't get that I want that cost more than clothes.  Am I going a little too crazy buying clothes at this point?  Perhaps.  But it's the only thing I can buy right now; and it's fun!!

This week's developments are pretty quiet and are much the same as before.  I find that rolling over to one side or the other hurts a bit; I think it may be baby squishing my ovaries.  Dr. J said my left was still huge from the fertility meds and my right had a cyst on it, so I'm sure that's what's going on.  So long as it's me and not the baby, I'm fine with it.  Also, I've been exhausted by 8:30pm most nights the past couple weeks, but 7pm the past two nights and last night, I woke up at 3:30 very thirsty and hungry!  Had to get up to get water and eat some yogurt.  I'm hoping this is a sign of a growth spurt; I haven't been this dog tired that early in the evening for months---or super hungry in the middle of the night, either!

According to my "This Week in Your Pregnancy" email today, baby is 11 inches from head to toe (no longer measured from crown to rump at this stage) and the size of a spaghetti squash; supposedly weighs almost 1 pound.  We'll see late next week where baby is on the growth charts...keeping my fingers crossed and doing a lot of praying!!  Tooth buds are in place beneath the gums; lips, eyebrows, and eyelids are becoming more distinct.  Baby's irises are still colorless/without pigment and the pancreas is developing "steadily".  Come on, baby!  If we could peek inside and see baby now, he/she would look something like this:
