26.1

Today marks 26 glorious weeks of gestation for my little honey bunny!  And honey bunny is doing oh so well.  Heartrate was 152 today.  Fluid was around 10cm last Friday...it was over 13 today!  And there was lots of movement during the ultrasound, wiggling and opening and closing the mouth, tongue thrusting, and breathing practice too.  The tech said that seeing so much breathing practice at this gestational age is a really good thing.  I knew baby could do it!  I'm so proud of my little miracle---already a proud momma!

I got into the ultrasound right away but had to wait a looooong time for Dr. H; she was on call today and had someone in labor she was bouncing back and forth to.  Understandable...just part of the job; heck, that'll be me she's bouncing to someday, after all.  She sat down and reviewed the results of the ultrasound and she could NOT contain her excitement and happiness!!  She was floored that the fluid was a 13 and that baby has porked out; she said she looked at it and thought, "Wait a minute, isn't this the girl who had low fluid and growth restriction?!"  lol  Yep, that was me.  The old me.  Now, I'm looking more and more like a normal pregnant lady with every passing week.  And it's looking like baby is determined to do well and stay inside for a long time yet.  She said that the results were "impressive", that she really didn't think we'd ever see a 13 with the fluid, and that I should be very happy about how things are turning around because I'm doing a good job.  I am, let me tell you!!  I couldn't be happier and more relieved!  Dr. H was also pleased to see I had gained 3 pounds since last Tuesday...she literally said, "You've gained 3 pounds...YES!!"  I asked her if she was willing to split my Weight Watchers membership with me after baby is born.  She chuckled but she didn't say yes...then again, she didn't say no....

So Nugget and I had a very successful checkup today.  Friday we'll have another NST.
